Quality
The pioneer of Dassai Mill, its rice polishing accuracy and quality are beyond the ordinary level.
In recent years, we believe that Dassai's two-quarter and three-quarter has reached a certain goal in terms of rice polishing steps.
However, the Pioneer of Grinding is even better.
Features
The highest quality sake brewed by Asahi Shuzo.
This sake was created to surpass the two-thirds of Dassai. The pursuit is not to achieve the goal that cannot be achieved by dividing the two-thirds of Dassai, but to integrate them to go one step further.
Development background
Sake for the world.
In recent years, as sake exports have increased, this means competing with the wine world. As you know, wine is the product of very sophisticated and opportunistic marketing in the West and can cost hundreds of thousands of dollars per bottle.
If sake is to compete with wine in the future, whether abroad or in Japan, the challenge for sake is to penetrate this higher price range.
Japan’s luxury sake
An Italian leather shop purchased a fabric developed in Japan. The price is much higher than the market price. Although it is the same product, it is cheaper than the original Japanese one. Producers are more popular.
This is something we will not do, we will not price the same sake at a higher price because of some marketing strategy. Asahi Shuzo aims to create truly Japanese high-quality sake.
In the future
The Pioneer of Dassai Mill has not yet been truly completed. We will continue to pursue and surpass the limits.
Development Story
In recent years we have received many requests from distributors to produce high-priced sake. The point behind these requirements is that, for example, if a restaurant wants to increase sales of its 3,000 yen lunch set, it would need a higher 7,000 yen set to compare. Therefore, in order to sell Dassai's two-thirds, the best way is to offer higher-priced sake.
Such a request may be true, but it is unacceptable to us. An expensive Dassai may be required, however, Asahi Shuzo's motto is not to manipulate or incite the market for profit. As a sake brewer, it's easy to put a high price on your product, but without the quality and style that a high price brings, it's just a marketing tool. We don’t want to turn Dassai into a marketing tool.
After over 10 years of planning and development, we are finally proud to announce the launch of our product.
To customers
Because it is a step forward in quality, if you only drink the pioneer of grinding, it may be difficult to understand its charm. If you enjoy a glass or two of Dassai 2/3 before moving on to the Forerunner of Grinding, it will help to bring out its charm even more.
The degree of Yamada Nishiki's rice polishing step is not disclosed
