The persistence and character of whiskey made at Fuji Gotemba Distillery is reflected in this single-blended Japanese whiskey.
"Single blend" refers to whiskey that is blended with only malt whiskey and grain whiskey in one distillery. This product was proposed as a new name when it was developed and was recognized for the first time in Japan. Fuji Gotemba Distillery’s unique combination of various malt liquor and grain liquor has created this product that is rare in the world.
When making this single blended whiskey, we paid special attention to the concept of "whisky's time and terroir."
The terroir of whiskey refers to the place at the foot of Mount Fuji where whiskey is brewed and nurtured, and the time the original liquor spent there. We focus on maximizing the character that has been nurtured by time. The water from Mount Fuji that has been refined for about 50 years is of course indispensable. These times and terroir, including the air environment and climate conditions, are the terroir of whiskey, and Fuji Single Blend is a product that reflects the terroir at the foot of Mount Fuji.
We also attach great importance to the precise control of changes in the degree of maturation, carefully selecting original wine barrels to maximize the characteristics of each original wine, and skillfully blending these colorful original wines to make them rich and vivid. This whiskey does not contain any unripe aromas derived from the distillate, and it is fruity, transparent and "beautiful".
